This week we’d like to express gratitude for family. Recently Kathy’s mom visited the shop and took this photo with her mom, Kathy’s Gammy! Gammy’s love for tea had a big influence on Kathy. She shares:
“Since I can remember, my Gammy had beautiful tea parties with lovely ladies dressed up in wonderful hats, usually nibbling on little petit fours. I’d listen to them chatting and laughing, from under my bed, my hands full of her famous tiny shortbread cookies.
“Drinking tea from a pretty cup, reaching out to friends – that was her way of honouring the moment. I think people crave a little beauty in their lives. I love that The Secret Garden has become that place where people can slow down and connect with themselves.”
This week we’d like to thank all of the children who visit the Garden. Their delight and excitement over tea and treats reminds us to have a bit more childlike enthusiasm in life – especially at tea time!
Our December Holiday High Tea is an annual tradition at the Garden. We craft a delicious seasonal menu with brand new treats and extra special touches. Spaces fill up quickly, so reserve your spot today!
As we get ready for our move we’d like to honour all the people who make Secret Garden possible. This week we’d like to thank our kitchen staff. Every morning at 6am they start baking our fresh treats for the day!
